Our Story
Heyy!! Noel & Brittany here, the owners of Dark Barrel Saunas.
A little background, Brittany, was born and raised on a farm in the Lakeland and worked as a Dental Assistant for over 13 years. These days, she juggles chauffeuring our kids to and from hockey, working casually, and pouring my heart and soul into our family-run sauna business.
Noel – the talent behind @darkburldesign, has been my biggest supporter through this journey. You’ll often see him during deliveries and installs (especially since I still haven’t mastered backing up a trailer 😂).
We have two busy boys and a golden retriever, and as a family we love the outdoors- camping, hunting, fishing, biking, walks, and traveling whenever we can.
Dark Barrel Saunas started with a simple dream: owning a sauna for the health benefits we loved so much. After launching our mobile sauna rentals, we quickly realized how many people in our community loved the experience- but wanted a sauna of their own, permanently.
That’s when Noel stepped in and took on the challenge of building custom saunas. What began locally has now grown to serving not just the Lakeland, but communities across Alberta. Every sauna we build is fully custom, allowing clients to choose the size, shape, and design that fits their space and lifestyle. Each build is thoughtfully crafted to withstand Alberta’s cold climate, using high-quality materials while keeping affordability in mind.
We’re incredibly grateful for the support that has allowed our business to grow from rentals to custom builds, and we’re excited for what the future holds.
